TREK002-3: Trek on the Great Wall
Introduction: The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was enlisted in the World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 6,700 kilometers (4,163 miles) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections of the great wall are now in ruins or even entirely disappeared. However, it is still one of the most appealing attractions all around the world owing to its architectural grandeur and historical significance.

Day1: Arrive in Beijing Our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel in the city. Based on your arrival time, our guide will plan you a visit in the city.
Day2: Taipingzhai – Huangyaguan Great Wall Drive 3-4 hours about 240km to Taipingzhai Great Wall of Ji county, in Tianjin City. Tianjin has some relics of walls in different dynasties. The two most famous are Huangyaguan Pass and Taipingzhai Great Wall. Take lunch in the village, after lunch, trek from Taipingzhai Great Wall to Huangyaguan Great Wall, for 2 hours. The Huangyaguan Great Wall is 28 kilometers north of Ji county. Originally built in Tianbao 7th of Beiqi (557 A D), the Huangyanguan was repaired for the first time in Ming Dynasty with bricks and for the second time in 1985. Then tranfer to Ji county.
Day3: Eastern Qing Mausoleums Transfer to The Eastern Qing Mausoleums, and visit the The Eastern Qing Mausoleums, The construction of the tombs was begun in the second year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1663). After visit, transfer 3 hours to Simatai Great Wall.
Day4: Simatai – Jinshanling Great Wall Trek from Simatai Great Wall for 5-6 hours to Jinshanling Great Wall. Simatai Great Wall has 35 beacon towers. It is the only part that still has the original appearance of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). The Jinshanling Great Wall is the best preserved part of the Great Wall with many original features.
Day5: Jinshanling – Gubeikou Great Wall Trek from Jinshanling to Gubeikou Great Wall for 4-5 hours, about 7km. Located along the Yanshan Mountain range in the northeast of Miyun County, south of the hill country of Panlong Mountain and Wohu Mountain, Gubeikou Great Wall occupies a strategically important location which is difficult to access. Situated between Shanhaiguan Pass and Juyongguan Pass, and about 62 miles to Beijing, it is the bastion protecting the northern gateway to the capital. Transfert 2.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall.
Day6: Mutianyu Great Wall – Ming Tomb Trek 2 hours on the Mutianyu Great Wall, the Mutianyu Great Wall stands as a monument to both the strength and the weakness of the Ming Dynasty. In the afternoon, move on to the Ming Tomb where 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. After visiting, Transfer back to the hotel.
Day7: Tian’anmen Square; Forbidden City; Summer Palace; Hu Tong tour
Day8: Temple of Heaven; Beijing Zoo (Panda House) Visit the Temple of Heaven where the emperors worshipped for the harvest, then visit the Beijing Zoo (Panda House). Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Olympic Park.
Day9: Depart Beijing
