CUT002-1: Yangtze River Cruise
Introduction The Yangtze River (Changjiang), over 6,300 kilometers long, is the largest and longest river in China, and the third-longest in the world, next only to the Nile in northeast Africa and the Amazon in South America. The source of the Yangtze River lies to the west of Geladandong Mountain, the principal peak of the Tanggula Mountain chain in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, southwest of China. The river flows from west to east through provinces of Qinghai, Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui and Jiangsu as well as the city of Shanghai, finally emptying into the East China Sea. With plenty of rainfall all year round, the Yangtze River is named the golden watercourse.
Yangtze River Cruise This tour will lead you to take the Yangtze River Cruise for 3 days, and visit the capital of China-Beijing, and the beautiful Guilin. Day1: Arrive in Beijing Arrive in Beijing then transfer to hotel. Visit the Tian'anmen square, the largest city square in the world and the Forbidden City which used to be the living place of the emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
Day2: Visiting the Great wall Visit the famous Mutianyu Great wall, which is located 50 miles away from the city (2 hours drive), hiking there for one and half hours. Then drive back to Beijing.
Day3: Temple of heaven and fly to Xi'an Visit the temple of heaven where the emperors worshipped for the harvest,. Then fly to Xi'an, visit the City wall, the construction was initiated by Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, who was in regime between 1370-1378 AD. The circumference of the city wall is 13,49 Km long, 1 meter high and 15 meters wide on the top. Take a walk along the wall to the Forest of Steles.
Day4: Terra-cota Army Museum, Wildgoose Pogoda, Grand Mosque Visit the Terra-cota Army Museum, Upon ascending the throne at the age of 13 (246 BC), Qin shi Huang, later the first Emperor of all China, had begun to work for his mausoleum. Took 11 years to finish, it is speculated that many buried treasures and sacrificial objects had accompanied the emperor in his after life. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and weapons on life size figures arranged are the star features at the museum. Then back to Xi'an. Visit the Wildgoose Pogoda, the symbol of Xi'an, originally built in 652 during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), it functioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. And then great mosque, the largest and best preserved of the early mosques of China, built primarily also in the Ming Dynasty.
Day5: Sanxingdui Museum and Giant Panda Breeding Centre in Chengdu Fly to chengdu. Visit the Sanxingdui museum, is recognized as the most important ancient remains of the Sichuan region for its vast size, its long history and its rich culture. And visit Giant Panda Breeding Centre in Chengdu.
Day6: Baodingshan grotto in Dazu To Dazu and visit the Baodingshan grotto, Baodingshan is located 15 kilometers to the northeast of longgang Town, seat of Dazu country, 527.83 meters above sea level. Baodingshan Rock Carvings include those at Dafowan and Xiaofowan centering around the Saint Longevity Monastery. These carvings were created under the supervision of Zhao Zhifeng in more than 70 years from A.D.1174 to 1252 according to an overall plan. With nearly 10000 statues, the rock carvings at Baodingshan form in a large ritual site of Tantric Buddhism. then drive to Chongqing, at the evening get on the boat.

Day9: Cruise on Yangtze River After the breakfast on the boat visit the great dam of the Three Gorges. Then go to Wuhan. Take lunch at a hotel. The afternoon get on the train for Guilin and overnight in the sleeping car.
Day10: The rice terraces in Longji Arrive in Guilin in the early morning, drive about 2 hours to Longji in Longsheng area, which is mostly, inhabited by people of the Zhuang, Yao, Miao and Dong minorities. They have kept most of their ancient customs and traditions. The rice terraces in Longji, built centuries ago by the Zhuang people, are the largest terraces in the world, compared with those in Banau in Northern Philippines. Longji means "Dragon's backbone". After a picnic we'll hike 4-5 hours through this stunning landscape. Overnight in a small hotel on the Rice Terrace of Longji.
Day11: Trek from Ping'an to Tiantong Trek from Ping'an to Tiantong. Check in the hotel and take a walk in the village.
Day12: Reed Flute Cave Visit Dazhai, back to Guilin. Visit the Reed Flute Cave, well Known as Natural Art Palace. In the Cave, there are lots of dripstones in fantastic formations.
Day13: Cruise on Lijiang river Visit Lijiang River by boat and go to Yangshuo. The Li River is one of the many attractions of Guilin. Li River boat cruises from Guilin to Yangshuo are very popular. At each turn of the river, many of the peaks had a legend associated with them, and some rock faces were said to represent figureheads. Walk to hotel.
Day14: The Moon Mountain Hike Moon Mountain, the Moon Mountain peak tower far into sky, Reaching to the clouds. The moutain has a large cave of 11 meters diameter, which looks like a full moon-Hence the name “moon river”. Trek from Yulong river to Jima.
Day15: visit Guangzhou Drive to Guilin, fly to Guangzhou, visit the Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall. It is a memorial to the Republic of China's Father of the Nation, Sun Yat-sen, walk from Qingping market to Shamian Island. Qingping Market has over 2,000 stalls along 1km of Qingping Lu and Ti Yun Lu just north of Shamian Island. It is the largest street market in Guangzhou and over 60,000 people shop here every day.
Day16: Fly to Beijing - departure Fly from Guangzhou to Beijing, departure.
