Situated on the estuary of Yangtze River, Shanghai serves as the most influential economic, financial, international trade, cultural, science and technology center in East China. Also it is a popular tourist destination; visitors can sense the pulsating development of modern China.

 

 

 

Shanghai 5 days tour with Suzhou

In this tour you will see a modern city and imagine classical Chinese gardens.

 

Day1: Arrival in Shanghai

Our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel in the city.

 

Day2: Shanghai

Pick you up at your hotel, visit Yuyuan Garden which located at a very busy marketplace in a complex of traditional-style buildings, backing onto Yu Gardens, you can find everything there from popular local snacks and food, crafts, antiques and souvenirs to Starbucks, teahouses and some great restaurants. And then go to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. A short walk across Renmin Square from the Shanghai Museum, this is a fascinating insight into Shanghai’s future. After lunch you will visit the Shanghai World Financial Center which is a super tall skyscraper. Then visit the Bund. Once the home of the foreign traders and major banks, the embankment has taken on a new vitality; lovely old European-style buildings mix with futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars offer plenty to see and do – and by night it's magic! Then visit the Jiangnan Silk Museum. See how silk is produced from the cocoons of silk worms, and turned into the beautiful fabric we all know and love. Enjoy dinner after visit.

 

Day3: Shanghai-Suzhou

Pick you up at your hotel to the railway station, then take a soft seat train to Suzhou and transfer to the hotel. Suzhou is famous for its Gardens. Visit the Garden of Lingering which is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Lingering in a garden you will marvel at its unique architecture and art. Then you will visit Humble Administrator’s Garden. The garden is the best representative of Chinese classical gardens, constructed in the Ming dynasty, which focuses on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby; the garden is divided into three parts: the eastern, middle and western parts. Then have lunch at Pine and Crane Restaurant.

 

Day4: Suzhou-Zhouzhuang-Shanghai

Drive to Zhouzhuang, the No. 1 Water Town of China. The town is surrounded by water with many branching streams, stone bridges and old residence with black tiles and white wells. And cruise in Zhouzhuang. After lunch visit the Hall of Shen's residence, a Qing style complex. Transfer to Shanghai

 

Day5: Departure from Shanghai

Visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.
